Congratulations to Ingrid who won dvds of Series One and Two of Alan Ball's True Blood. The citizens of Bon Temps await your company!
We are the judge, jury and executioner of all competitions run by us. We may use your name, but we will never pass on your details.
We love our romance... but sometimes nothing beats a great Fantasy or a juicy crime (can you say "shirtless Jack Reacher" anyone?).
Below is a list of all reviews on individual books. If you are looking for reviews on overall series and/or reviews and information about the authors, please go to our authors page.
To view the complete review click on either the 'Read More' link, the title of the book or the author. These will all take you to the book's page in the shop, at the bottom you will find all of the reviews.
A note on the 'rating': there are only 5 stars available. We haven't allowed for 1/5 stars, which can be quite frustrating, having more stars would make reviewing much easier, but we want to be very subjective. So a 2-star rating means the book is 'ok, nothing I found amazing, but generally ok', where as a 5-star is VERY hard to get, and pretty much means 'stop the presses, I've found the holy grail of literature'. Not every book can be a 5-star, and not every book can be a 1-star. Think of this as a graded examination, the books are all compared against each other to see where they rate.
| 5 Stars | Excellent! Original and Brilliantly written. |
| 4 Stars | Very Good. Nice Flow and Interesting Characters. Almost perfect. |
| 3 Stars | Good. Great Book, but a couple of things could have been better. |
| 2 Stars | OK. Not a bad read, but didn't ring my bells. Just didn't quite get there. Lacking in plot flow or character development. |
| 1 Star | Not my cup of tea - read the review to understand why. |
