Anyone wanting to purchase books through us will be required to give us certain information, such as your name, phone numbers, mailing address and email address, so as to enable us to provide you with our services and/or products.  If we are not given details required in mandatory fields in the shopping cart, we will not be able to process purchase orders.   

Any such information given to us will be treated with strict confidentiality.  Under no circumstances will we sell, rent or give your private information including name, address, email to third parties. 

The personal information you have provided to us will be kept confidential and secure and will not be accessible for unauthorised use, amendment or disclosure. In some circumstances personal information may be disclosed to third parties acting on behalf of Fishpond, such as carriers, in order to complete our service to you.  Any such third parties will be required to comply with the Privacy Act. 

Our system will automatically log details from customers’ browsers, such as IP address and the page requested, as a means of fraud prevention and to assist with website statistical analysis. No individual users are identified in such statistics. We also use standardised Cookies to store shopping cart information. A 'cookie' is a small file which contains a piece of text identifying your browser to our site. This is standard practice for online shopping and its purpose is to tell us that a previous visitor to our site has returned. 

We may occasionally email previous customers in order to provide you with better service such as by advising you of new products and services or information which may be of interest to you. In every such email you will be given the opportunity to elect not to receive any further communications.
