When I first saw Hex Hall, I thought it'd be a really girly book all about the lives of a teenager; I was wrong. Even though it did have the classic ratty, overemotional teenage girl, it also had action. I have to say: I'm impressed. Hex Hall has really good characters who are easy to read about and give you a little laugh every now and then. Sophia, the main character, was a tad on the bratty side, but it fit in well with her character. Another really good character was Archer, he wasn't what you expected him to be in the end. He's the shocking twist. I was definitely in for a surprise at the end of the book. Woah! I was blown away. As much as I didn't want Hex Hall to end, I was so excited when I read the end. I was not let down at all. Nuh-ah. No way no how. What I didn't like was that the characters were really immature for their age. This story makes out like all teenagers are horrid creatures that only want the material things in life. We're not all that bad. We're just grumpy on occasions. Cough Cough, but in conclusion it was a really good story. I recommend it to girls who are just starting to get into reading chapter books to really old people, like 21 year olds. I kid, people from 7 - 90. It's a good read and I hope you like it. |
