Product Information
High school can be so draining when you're half-human, half-vampire

It's another sucky year at Bathory High for Vladimir Tod. The evil vampire D'Ablo is hunting for the ritual that could steal Vlad's powers. His best friend Henry doesn't want to be his drudge anymore. And as if all that weren't enough, it's getting harder for Vlad to resist feeding on the people around him. When months go by with no word from Uncle Otis and D'Ablo shows up demanding Vlad's father's journal, Vlad realizes that having a normal high school year is the least of his concerns. Vlad needs to act fast, and even his status as the Pravus won't save him this time...

Kaylee 2011-05-26

The first Vladimir Tod Chronicles was what I would call 'a simple read', I feel the same way with Tenth Grade Bleed; it's a good book, but I'm not too interested in it.

The serious of Vladimir Tod's not really exciting, but this one had more 'umph'. The first one I read was boring and it took a really long time for anything interesting to happen but with Tenth Grade Bleeds it took less time for me to get into it.

One thing I don't like is predictable endings, good thing Tenth Grade Bleeds didn't have one. I couldn't say that I knew that was going to happen. It wasn't like a POP, but it was pretty exciting.

In Tenth Grade Bleeds the characters were more appealing. As Vlad gets older he gets more mature and romance is added to the picture. He also attracts more action now-a-days. Vlad, is no longer my favourite character though. My new favourite is Snow, I see her playing a big part in the next book and quite an interesting one. Even though you don't get MANY scenes with her I can just imagine her and Vlad's relationship escalating. I look forward to seeing how it turns out in the next book.

Tenth Grade Bleeds flow was good but the action was a bit bumpy, it would get really good and then die down. There would be times when I would be reading and I will just drift out and won't remember anything I just read and then I'd have to re-read it.

All in all, I liked Tenth Grade Bleeds and I would recommend it particularly to 10-16 year olds, but it also has parts where it could have improved. Other than those, I enjoyed it and I would love to read the next ones.
